Ask Siri if Mom is okay

Siri answers from Omniscient with when her phone last moved, where she is, and her battery. One phrase works right away. A 30-second setup gives you the short one.

Works right away, no setup

“Hey Siri, ask Omniscient to check on Mom.”

The first time, Siri asks to turn on Omniscient shortcuts. Tap Turn On. If Siri doesn’t know who “Mom” is, open Omniscient → Connections and set what Siri calls that person.

The short version: 30-second setup

“Hey Siri, is Mom okay?”
  1. Open Apple’s Shortcuts app and tap Library, then Omniscient in the Apps list.
  2. Press and hold the person’s tile (Mom) and tap New Shortcut.
  3. Tap the small arrow next to the name at the top, then Rename.
  4. Type exactly what you want to say: Is Mom okay. Tap Done.
  5. Say “Hey Siri, is Mom okay?”

Want a second phrase, like “check on Mom”? Press and hold your new shortcut, tap Duplicate, and rename the copy. Each shortcut answers to its own name. Repeat for Dad, Grandma, or anyone you’re connected to.

If Omniscient isn’t in the Shortcuts list

Open Omniscient once, then go to More → Siri and tap Re-register names with Siri. Say the no-setup phrase above one time and tap Turn On. Close and reopen Shortcuts.

What Siri will and won’t say

Siri reports what the phone did: when it last moved, the place, the battery. It never guesses how someone is feeling. Omniscient is a peace-of-mind app, not an emergency service; if you’re worried, call them, and call 911 in an emergency.
